I hope the weather takes a cooler turn, so we can wander the streets and visit sites I know, but miss. Losing myself in the beauty of art renews my spirit and inspires, so maybe we'll find time to visit the Toledo Art Museum. I can never say no to the Toledo Botanical Garden. Perhaps we'll search for a new bistro or coffee shop for talking while creamy latte or plain ole java cools in our mugs. I'm always up for heading downtown to search for photo ops and city energy.
I may mention heading to Perrysburg and The Ribbonry, a wonderful place with sumptuous ribbons from France. Or...we could just talk on MJ's deck, catching up, and sharing secrets before walking about her yard with camera in hand ready to snap a photo of a flower, a bird, a butterfly, or her new companion, Ayla.
Yes, I need this snippet of a getaway for peace of mind. The well needs water and I'm going to dance in the rain for a few days.
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

ReplyDeleteLove the header.
Hi Constance... Thank you for visiting. I've not been to the Ribbonry in years and I'm looking forward to a visit in the near future.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day!
MJ...I'm looking forward to getting away for a couple days. Can't wait...
I found the image on The Graphics Fairy and just had to use it. The background is a photo I took last winter and then I added some frou-frou to blend it all together.
Have a wonderful day!
Oooh new header! Arthur Rackham? For what is a book without pictures?
ReplyDeleteHi Diana...Yes, another new header. Creating headers satisfies an artistic niche. I'm embarassed to admit this, but I'm not sure who created the wonderful image. I've had it for quite some time, but couldn't decide what to do with it. I thought it was an image I picked up at The Graphics Fairy, but I can't find it there. In the winter months, I spent evenings searching for vintage images to use, but shame on me, I can't remember the site where I found copyright free works. ACK! It could be Rackham's, it certainly looks like his illustrations. At first I thought it was Ida Rentoul Outhwaite, an artist whose work I adore.
ReplyDeleteSo the hunt will continue. I will definitely give credit when I find the original artist.
Thanks for stopping by!
Oh, I just love a day with infinite possibilities. All your options sound like so much fun :-)
