Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.
~ George Eliot
I do so love chrysanthemums. The flower of my birth month, November, and the queen of autumn.
Looks like a quick puff of colored smoke? he asked.
~ from the short story Chrysanthemums by John Steinbeck
Are the leaves starting to change colors where you live?
Above the chimney a tree is ablaze in orange.
And the tabby cat, Toadie, sitting on a pumpkin.
I hope you're savoring the glorious autumn moments that come your way.
Oh my, each one of your photographs are just sensational! Those colors are a treasure, truly brilliant~
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful Fall picture with the cat. The leaves are falling so fast here in the hills this year. Your Mums are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHow did you get Toadie to pose on that pumpkin??!!

Nancy...thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
ReplyDeleteLona...There are trees bare of leaves all ready, but more just starting to turn brilliant colors. Thanks for your kind comment.
MJ...I was sitting in the back yard with camera at ready and Toadie hopped up on the pumpkin and sat down. He wasn't there long, but I was able to get a couple photos of him before he jumped down.
Wow...lovin' that first mum shot!
