I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing

I love this little blue planet and I don't want to miss a thing.

I don't want to miss bees gathering nectar

Or a cidada coming out of it's shell and singing it's late summer song

I don't want to miss birds on the wing or birds in my yard. 

I don't want to miss seedlings wearing hats




















Or snow on a dandelion

I don't want to miss weeds in tutus dancing in a breeze                          

       

Or the hot colors of gallardias shimmying in the garden.








I don't want to miss seasons that change....

Nope, I don't want to miss a thing so won't you please....

  REFUSE

 to let it all go, leaving our children's children

with nothing more than vague memories of the world

                                      as it was...green, red, yellow, blue, orange and all the colors  of the rainbow.
