Mosaic Monday: Carnations & Miss Adventure

Joining the fun at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

Miss Adventure agrees with Helen Keller that, "Life is either a great adventure or nothing."

I discovered the stunning photography of Jamie Heiden on Flickr this morning.  I don't think I've seen anything quite like it and became enchanted immeditately. This is beauty worth celebrating.  You'll find the link to her website on the sidebar under Celebrating!

  1. Hello Markus...thanks for stopping by the Cottage. I just visited your wonderful blog full of interesting ideas. Miss Adventure aka Miss Addie, is such a corker. I can't believe she sat so still while I snapped photos.

  4. A Garden of Threads...thank you for stopping by.

Diana...I had everything set up to take photos of the little creamer with carnations in it when Miss Adventure decided to join in. I just let her move about and do her thing. She's such a poser, quite the diva cat.

  5. I don't often like carnations, but these are beautiful ones . . . almost peony-like.

The cat/vase/stack of books tableau makes me smile: irresistible subjects, yes?

  6. Hi Bee...I think carnations get a bad rap, but you're right these are very full and e color is so clear. I love the scent of carnations. They have the signature fragrance that most dianthus/cottage pinks have, a fresh, soft spicy smell of cloves. Love, love, love it. Oh yes, three things that bring a smile to my face: silly cats, flowers in old dishes, and books!
