In My Thoughts

Keeping Japan in my thoughts....

"When the Japanese mend broken objects they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold, because they believe that when something's suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful."
~ Barbara Bloom

Linda at Vulture Peak Muse posted the above heart felt sentiment from Barbara Bloom on her blog this morning.  It was such an appropriate quote that I asked if I might use it also.  She kindly agreed.

  1. What a beautiful sentiment. Lets hope and pray that the people of Japan heal soon. Its so hard to imagine what they are going through. Great post. xx

  2. I agonize for those poor people in Japan. I can't imagine what they are going through. As if it's not enough that an earthquake and a tsunami destroyed their homes, now they have to worry about the effects of the radiation fallout in the food supply.
What are we doing to our planet?

  3. I read Linda's quote and you have used it so beautifully with the image, which capture, together, the essence of Japanese culture and the tears that the world sheds with them.

It is a post to reflect upon.
